UPDATE: GLOBAL BUSINESS MARKETS (OTCBB: GBRM) - WHILE INVESTORS GENTLY WEEP

Investigative Reports

January 12 2004

Do you suppose that shareholders of Global Business Markets, Inc. (OTCBB: GBMI) keep a flowchart by their desks, tracking the Company's names, management teams, and business plans.  Let’s see, in the past twelve months Global Business (under one or another of its many names) has claimed to be in the human resources industry, the real estate market and the food and beverage business.  The Company has, at various times over the past year, projected multi-million dollar revenues, announced plans to open a café and bakery, declared its entry into the smoothie and juice bar business, and assumed the name of Christine’s Precious Petals (implying, at least, some interest in the floral field).  – See Update: Global Business Markets, Inc.  (f/k/a Christine’s Precious Petals; f/k/a Sunshine Ventures; f/k/a Core Solutions, f/k/a Premier Axium ASP ) – Spending But Not Earning; Update: Global Business Markets, Inc. – Pulling Me Back; – Baking Up A Storm; Update: Sunshine Ventures, Inc. – Favara Reloaded; Update: Sunshine Ventures, Inc. – Always Read The Small Print; Update: Core Solutions, Inc – Where’s The Sunshine?; and Update: Core Solutions, Inc – So Much For Promises.

So much for smoothies.  On January 8, 2004 Global Business began the new year by announcing a “new business strategy.”  The Company has decided to “reposition” itself as a designer and manufacturer of electric and acoustic guitars, amplifiers and accessories.  It claims that the Company will utilize the experience of its President and CEO, Edward Miers (who remarkably has remained in those roles for several consecutive months) to develop this strategy.  According to Global Business, Mr. Miers previously operated two music industry businesses.

Does the Company have real operations lined up this time?  Global Business does not say how it plans to fund this venture.  As of September 30, 2003 (the date of its last financial statements) the Company was plucking a familiar tune – it had no assets and no resources.  Consequently, it could announce its entry into any line of business – from aerospace to Aerosmith - but without funding it has no likelihood of achieving even modest success.

Potential investors will, no doubt, remain skeptical.  Global Business Markets has a history of broken promises and failed projections.  It will take more than a press release to demonstrate that the Company has left the smoothie business behind.
